1. Product Overview

   PBM / PBX are Piab-style mini two-stage diffusing multi-stage vacuum generators, also known as multi-energy vacuum generators. They adopt modular stackable design with ultra-thin lightweight body. PBM is standard built-in silencer version, while PBX is compound external silencer type. Three functional versions available: Type A valveless, Type B with supply valve, Type C full multi-energy integrated model.

  Core positioning: Compact footprint, low air consumption and large suction flow. Supports multi-layer manifold stacking with independent control for multiple suction cups. Ideal for robot EOAT, palletizing and porous workpieces with foam suction cups.

      • PBM Standard Mini: Built-in silencer, slim body, low noise, suitable for single unit or stacked assembly

      • PBX X-mini Compound Type: Removable external silencer cartridge, higher ultimate vacuum, larger flow and better heat dissipation, designed for high-cycle continuous operation

  Size grades: 5 / 10 / 20 / 30. The number represents equivalent vacuum pump power rating (0.05~0.3kW). Functional versions: A basic valveless, B integrated supply valve, C full multi-energy model (supply valve + break valve + vacuum pressure detection + adjustable vacuum break throttle).

     • PBM / PBX

 PBM: Standard mini type with built-in silencer

 PBX: Compound X-mini type with external silencer cartridge

     • 10: Size code (5 /10 /20 /30)

 5: Micro small flow, tiny components

 20: Medium flow bestseller, carton, film & foam suction cup

     • A/B/C: Functional version

 A: Valveless basic unit, generator body only, controlled by external solenoid valve

6. Selection Guide

  Choose PBM or PBX

     • PBM: Limited installation space, robot EOAT, regular intermittent cycle, no protruding silencer required

     • PBX: Foam suction cup, porous carton, long continuous operation, higher flow & vacuum required

  Select Version A / B / C

     • Version C Multi-Energy: Robot application, fast blow-off release + missing part detection alarm, reduce external valves and piping (preferred)

     • Version B: Limited budget, no blow-off vacuum release, workpiece released by self-weight

     • Version A: Fixed fixture with existing external solenoid valve, lowest procurement cost

  Stackable Manifold Feature (Key Advantage of PBM/PBX)

     PBM5 can stack up to 16 layers; PBM10 supports up to 12 layers. PBX shares the same stacking capability. Each layer owns independent vacuum circuit without mutual interference, sharing one main air supply. Best choice for multi-station transfer and multi-nozzle modules.

     Seal material: NBR for general conditions; FKM for food grade or acid / alkali corrosive environments.


7. Pneumatic Circuit for Type C Multi-Energy Model

     Air source → AFC air filter (oil mist prohibited) → AR pressure regulator → PBM/PBX-C air supply port; Vacuum port → ZFC vacuum filter → suction cup. Two DC24V signal wires connect to PLC: one for vacuum adsorption control, the other for adjustable blow-off vacuum break. Vacuum feedback signal used for missing / dropped workpiece detection.


8. Operation Notes

     • Air supply must be dry and filtered, oil mist lubricator forbidden. Oil contamination will clog two-stage nozzles.

     • ZFC vacuum filter must be installed in vacuum pipeline. Dust easily blocks nozzles and reduces suction force.

     • PBX external silencer cartridge must be fully installed; removing it causes extremely loud noise.

     • Adjust Type C vacuum break throttle slowly. Excessive opening will blow away thin film and paper workpieces.

     • For multi-unit stacked manifold assembly, enlarge main air supply pipe to stabilize pressure for all units.

     • Wide temperature tolerance; ensure no icing on air source under low-temperature conditions.
